School Programs with Constitution Marsh
Constitution Marsh works with school groups of all ages, from kindergarten to graduate school. We offer multi-session on-site programs designed for groups of 15-25 students, but we are happy to make accommodations for slightly smaller or larger groups.
All of our classes use experiential and inquiry-based methods that allow students to develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for the natural world around them.

This interactive program will allow students to explore climate change, it’s impacts and community solutions. Participants will work in teams to design their own Climate Action Plans to put to work in their schools and communities.
Through science exploration, action planning, and interactive workshops, students will gain a greater understanding of climate change and how to make a difference while engaging in a peer-to-peer education environment.

This program offers students an introduction to our regional wild birds and their habitats. Students will focus on basic bird identification through the recognition of shape, sound, size, and color and gain an understanding of the importance of habitat conservation.
Students will be able to use this newly gained knowledge to observe birds and their behavior binoculars during a hike through our wooded trails to the marsh boardwalk.
Our after-school program will provide high school students the opportunity to explore Constitution Marsh and create a project that highlights different aspects of ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡â€™s mission, such as environmental advocacy, conservation science, community building and climate solutions.
Our summer program will provide the opportunity for high school students to explore careers within the environmental conservation field.
Students experience tidal marsh ecology first-hand by canoeing into Constitution Marsh and our incredible wildlife sanctuary. Availability is limited. Visit times are tide-dependent and run from May through October.
