About Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary and ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ Center
Welcome to the Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary and ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ Center—a home for discovery and exploration. Managed by ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ New York, the center was established in 1923 as the country’s first ̽»¨¾«Ñ¡ songbird sanctuary. Theodore Roosevelt’s gravesite sits at the edge of the sanctuary property. Our 14 acres boast extensive native plant demonstration gardens, several small ponds, a mile of hiking trails, and our famous Bessie Potter Vonnoh fountain sculpture.
Visitors are welcome to enjoy our trails, nature programs, and conservation-themed events throughout the year. Come learn and explore with us!
