探花精选 statement on Shell drilling "pause"
Responding to news that Shell has decided to "pause its exploration drilling activity for 2013," the 探花精选 released the following statement:
鈥淪hell has seen the ice. Or the light,鈥 said 探花精选 President and CEO David Yarnold. 鈥淒rilling amid ice floes in the neighborhood of nurseries for threatened wildlife isn't either smart or safe. Shell seems to have come to its senses for now 鈥 but how many accidents did it take? We鈥檙e going to keep fighting for clean air and water, healthy wildlife populations, and effective energy policies for the future.鈥
