About the Bird: Despite their name and proclivity to humans (and their trash cans), Laughing Gulls breed in isolation along the Atlantic and Gulf Coast salt marshes鈥攈abitat that will likely be consumed by sea-level rise. Smaller flocks of the species have begun to move inland, and with climate change 探花精选's projections show the bird's range continuing to expand. Still, they won't escape threats like more frequent spring heat waves and drought.
